Whatever comes up, comes up. My aim is really a FFRR V8. I am open verdict on the D4, has some points I like, some I will warm to, but nowt I dont like.
Will be quite a site seeing one coming towards me with 2 RAI's
Definately the FFRR next though , but then I will be 40+ and in need of a mid life crisis motor, just like Ken
I'll change when it gets to 60k as I did with the previous 3 Discos, so about 18 months to go as the present rate.

Mid 2011 when the D3 is 5 years old....always the intention to keep this one for that length of time2012 D4 - SDV6 XS - Firenze Red
My D3 runs out of warrantly mid 2010 -I'll probably change it then. What I change it for is another matter - there may be some high spec low mileage D3s at bargain prices. but then there should be some used D4s around. On the other hand I could be broke and not be able to afford anything.

Well if this one lasts 200K + and twenty years like my other one I will be happy I am going back to changing my car instead as my Volvo's about shot now at 4 years old and 150K.
When mid-life crisis takes a good hold of me (in about 2 1/2 years, or less) I will probably get a checked shirt and a...... Did you think I would leave you crying,
When there's room in my D3 for 7,
Climb in here Joe we'll soon be flying,
I can go just as fast with 7.
2005 TDV6 S with Terrain Response (& all that entails), Tasmods (gorn). 2008 TDV6 HSE (gone). A Dark Side umbrella (here) & car (here).
Not now anyway, works dropped off, I've spent too much modding the D3 and it's not worth enough money at the mo.
Plus I'm not allowed!Have a nice day!

i wont be getting a d4 until either my engine grinds to a halt or my chassis disolves. I bought my d3 for the long haul for both green and financial reasons so we'll be together till the end. Obviously if i win the lottery then both these reasons go out the window In the meantime i see no reason to move on from the best car ive had the privilige to own.
That's about where I'm coming from too. In fact a bit disappointed with 244 gm/cm - presumably for 3.0 litre auto, which is same as my 2.7 manual (and I also benefit 'cos mine is pre-March06). I might well be looking beyond D4 to greener D5, due, i would guess in 2013/14. However, I don't think that will be a high priority for LR. I believe their top priority will be a shared platform FFRR/RRS, which will be aluminium like Jag XK/XJ and incorporate new hybrid technologies.

Me too
I plan on keeping mine until the hybrid technology has been launched and out for a year or so!
Looking forward to driving a D5 HSE 8)I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.
