Interesting point. I wonder if the D4 has sufficient "new stuff" on the D3 to worry early adopters...
I just wish they did public beta testing

Seems to me that only the engine (3.0 vs 2.7 anyway) could be regarded as new, with new egr valves, new fuel pump and turbo isolation valves that could need tweaking with time. Certainly nothing like the totally new vehicle the D3 was.

I agree - most of the bits they have changed in the engine are the bits that go wrong, the suspension issues seem largely fixed by a new compressor, the bongs and battery issues will remain! So no disadvantage from the new one then. Ball joints will still wear and bushes will need changed.
Question is what 'fully loaded' means now. Fridge, rear Air Con, Tele, Rear Diff, TPMS. Does that include the rear seat entertainment, the 5 cameras etc. as well. If so £47k is not a bad price. Roll on the Spec sheet being available!

You can now place your orders for the D4. We have just ordered ours and it will be in the Sept build. August build is mainly dealers demo vehicles which are not to be sold. Dont know the price yet but looks as if 90k AUD is the mark. Disco 4 Sept 09

Thanks Stevo. I hoped it was for an HSE, so D4 SE c/w e-diff probably not for me. Hopefully my dealer will be in touch soon.

So about the same as a base LC200 TDV8 then? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Was at the stealers yesterday and they're thinking the LR4 V8 HSE with all the toys will go for about 250,000 AED in the UAE when released in October/November. That's a substantial premium over the 189,000 that the '09 LR3 V8 HSE with all the toys is selling for currently.
