Anyone had EGR valve replacement on LR extended warranty? |
|
Just interested to hear that some people may have had this work carried out under extended warranty when mine was refused. Any one had there's done?
Regards,
Trev

Yep, last month - about 2 weeks before the extended ran out - no hassle at all for once
Happy to provide more details if it helps you

It would be interesting for you to find out if the dealer claimed the warranty work from the provider of the Land Rover extended warranty, as well as charging you. If they did you need to get the police involved for a case of fraud
Not sure how you find out though I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

SJR,
I take it from your statement that you know for definite that the extended warranty doesn't cover the EGR's??

I honestly don't know if it is covered or not
What I was trying to say is that if it is covered and they have claimed against warranty AND charged you, that they should be brought to task in law for their fraudulent actions I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

SJR,
It does look a bit "IFFY" doesn't it.
It does seem that a few ,at least, have had their EGR valves changed under the extended warranty. It's nothing to do with there being different levels of cover is it?
I can't think that it was anything to do with the way I claimed. I had greatly reduced power coming home from Aberdeen so the next day I called LRA to check and they confirmed EGR problem and told me to take it to the garage. I did that and the rest is history as they say.
If there are any more out there that have had this done on extended warranty please add to this thread. Anyone one who has the extended warranty and was told that the warranty didn't cover the EGR 's also let me know. Anyone have the answer to this problem?
Thanks again,
Trev.

Got the same problem. Those that have had the valves replaced under the extended warranty, was it the approved or the select warranty they used to claim under. Any reply will be appreciated. 2018 D5 3.0 HSE Lux

Trev, Just so you know - took mine into Dealer today for something else and they said I need EGR valves changing under 'Select extended warranty' at no cost. I asked them twice and they confirmed covered by 'Select extended warranty'. SOLD - 23my Range Rover Sport D300 Dynamic SE

DJ,
Glad to see some one's getting their monies worth out of them. I would stick with that dealer if I were you.
