Just picked my car up from Shukers, noise has gone, the culprit was the A/C compressor
Interesting one on the Rear Diff Lock TSB, Land Rover won't pay for the software up-grade under warranty unless the vehicle is showing the fault code
Oh, and the problem starting the engine was starter motor, new one fitted and the engine has never turned over so fast, even when new I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

My experience Bodsy is you can get it done the week after if you can drop the car off, or wait 3 weeks if you want a courtesy car...

Getting a bit worried now that we apparently need a transfer box not something on the belt, but have to trust they know what they are doing I suppose!
Find out tomorrow when it goes in...

Now that's a really funny thing you know....... Shukers had my car in from 8.30 this morning, supposed to be ready for 3pm. I get the call at aboiut 20 to 3, to tell me that it's not going to be ready today!
Now I'm a bit miffed as you can imagine as I need to be in Northampton tomorrow morning.
Reason given is that they've never done an A/C compressor before and it's taking them longer than expected.....
Now, I don't mind the service issues as long as they have a solution for my transport issues (which they don't! (ford fiesta parts van if I could get there and then get it back in time tomorrow night (which is unlikely!) ) but what's the point in lie-ing
I'd been speaking to them last week to get the AC pump there in the first place (backorder problem), I gave them the info to do a critical part request, even who they need to deal with. I told them the detailed info on Qty of specific parts that could be used as critical that were available.
Then Yesterday, I had a call to tell me the part had not been delivered (They'd messed up on where the part should be I understand....)
So I then found out how many parts were in stock (as it was now not on back order) and I had to push them to confirm it could be delivered next day through their parts process!
Makes my blood boil!
Thanks to a certain other forum member for additional info BTW
Now I'll still love the car, but this giving of ballony does my friggin' head in! Bodsys Brake Bible

Tell them to get on to the CHAPS team they will get you a car sorted. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

The CHAPS team sort out cars for you when the dealer does not have one available. The dealer simply emails the CHAPS team with a request for a car and hey presto Enterprise drop one off. I take it you are still in LR warranty. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Anything else you need to tell them how to do whilst you're at it? Perhaps a list of spanners they'll need for the job, or do they have enough spanners there already?
Doesn't seem they have a clue and will need their hands holding for the whole process Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

After The stealers had the car Friday they tell me the A/C compressor is the problem, I'm hoping now they are right, does anyone know if you have an on going fault and then your warranty ends will the dealers still repair without charge? 110 XS Utility
