I saw that story earlier this morning.
I don't think you can be charged with driving without due care for using a sat nav (unless you are not watching the road ), I think this chap has been charged because he followed it like a lemming, when common sense should have told him something was not quite right

The local BBC news reported this last night, the reporter made out that this road / track was not suitable for vehicles
