Be sure they properly fit the seal caulking or whatever it's called behind the A-pillars. There was a lot of wind noise in the cabin after mine was replaced and that was the cause.I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Have you a heated windscreen?
If so then you are a lucky
If not, I believe its possible to retrofit but first thing you need is a windscreen with elements which they will probably fit at no extra cost to you as the insurance company is paying (you'll just have to check they have one in stock.
I haven't tackled it myself yet but once the catapult I bought off ebay comes through I'll be laughing A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

Mine has just been done too, and after advice from Ken I insisted on a OEM screen straight from the factory to ensure the best match and fit.
Before you all say there is no difference you are WRONG. Both screens I saw side by side, the shaded areas around the screen and around the rear view is certainlly bigger on the copy screen. Also the copy screen elements are easier to see.
You can insist on a OEM screen, and both screens now come with NEW clips

Remeber while you wait the screen STILL WONT be cured on the bonding properly. When you get in the D3 and close the doors for the remainder of the day make sure the 2 front winders are slightly open. This stops the inside pressure pushing the screen out.

OEM
Hi Sorry lads but can someone tell me what the OEM is, ive looked on the net but no luck. Im with morethan insurance and want to replace my chipped windscreen but im concerned that it doesnt get replaced with the same heated windscreen as i have in. Suppose i should really phone the insurance company but would like to know what the OEM is.
I do hope its not something really obvious
cheers anyway

Silly question, but do the OEM screens have a number or mark on them so people can check that's what they are getting? I was promised my new one was an OEM but there's nothing on it which indicates it's an LR product and the heated elements are looking a little different to me - or is it just cleaner?
