Lazy Disco

So Disco went on holiday to Stratstones for the day to see if they could sort out his suspension problem.

Its been having "Suspension Fault - Normal Height Only" messages with amber suspension icon for a while now but where as they were intermittent, now every journey displays the problem. Have absolutely no problems with it sinking over night or such, and if you start it up and raise to off road height straight away and drive it, then it displays "Suspension Fault" but stays in off road height (As I mentioned to the dealer "Discos got no problem keeping it up"! Whistle )

So its come back with the diagnosis "carry out ids check on rear air suspension, lazy in operation, requires new air compressor" Now i've heard of compressors "failing" and such but this is first time i've heard "lazy in operation"! Somebody even mentioned "just like its owner" Laughing Whistle

Apparently it wasn't putting out enough pressure(?)

Also not sure what the "compressor overhaul" costing £12 was about, but at least they got the bird s Censored t off the bonnet and it came back washed! Laughing Laughing Thumbs Up

Got to put up with the messages till I get the compressor changed... Neutral

I had the same problem, was a well known wire corrosiom problem in the front left wheel arch (from memory), repaired under warranty.

thanks for the tips chaps,

Stratstone seemed happy for me to drive about in it the guy saying the compressor will need doing sometime as opposed to straight away so might try it for a bit and look out for suspension cooling messages.

If it can last till service day in a couple of months i'll get it all done together Thumbs Up
