It's probably been said earlier in this thread, but AFAIK, EVERYONE on here (who has wanted upgraded performance from their TDV6) has gone the remap route for the D3.
BAS, Torq-Tune & Turbo Chip are supplied by various site sponsors. I've not heard of anyone who was unhappy with their choice. The Bearded Dragon

I am a definite fan of the BAS option and was recently involved in an incident , within seconds the remap and all traces of it ever having existed were gone
The improvement in drivability and econonmy are immediately discernable
Your stealer will never know, as some of them like to blame all problems on the waqrranty voiding remap
and
to top it all off

BAS REMAP & INSURANCE
The joy of insurance companies.
I want to put the BAS remap on our D3, spoke to pete earlier, nice chap, about what to say to the insurance people, so i can check it out before I order.
I told them the following
Tuned for economy not performance
Increases power by 25bhp from 190bhp to 215bhp
Increases torque by 15nm from 440nm to 455nm
They asked if it was a chip or a remap, told them it was a remap.
Admiral insurance said they would not cover the vehicle.... balls.....
So we plan to cancel the insurance and get a new policy, who do you all use ? How did you tell them about the BAS remap ?
I know the debate about do you tell them or not is a subjective one, I plan to.
All help appreciated, thanks in advance.Got our Disco... Love it.....

Nor me, and before the Moral High Horse is pulled out of the stables, the Remap is removable in any event so cannot be traced.
It is always good to let the insurance company know, but it is entirely up to you.
IMHO you should inform your insurance. Insurance companies will do anything they can to get out of paying a claim. It is all very well claiming you can remove the remap easily - but if it's a serious bang or someone else was driving, you may not get the opportunity to restore the original map.

Mac
have transfered over the remap from bent betty, 2007 now mapped
but
dont seem to have achieved the remarkable difference that betty has
changed air filter today( it was manky)
also have a new fuel filter to pop in tomorrow
will check fault codes also just to be sure
not too pleased with dealer considering a full service was supposed to be completed before delivery and yet the air filter is grotty
also plan a diesel/fuel system treatment/flush tomorrow
I know either ways its will be a happy outcome coz Pete will be on top of it

Air filter is, I think, a 45k service item. Tis madness, and I changed mine too.

Would seem to be £400 if bought at one of the LR shows.
check out the details here http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic21467.htmlI believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.
