Got home and SWMBO said a big parcel arrived for me, then says "what have you bought for that car now?"
Even she had to agree though that spending £70 to protect something worth almost 10 times that was worth it.
Top quality piece of kit Ray . Will try to get it fitted tomorrow.
Many thanks M8 Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills

I too have one of these babys, top quality bit of kit. I feel its a little under priced TBH. It saves your spare wheel£££ and spare wheel winch£££££.
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
Actually, I have no idea what it's worth - how much are new 19 inch alloys?
You won't get a lot of change out of £190 for a new Pirelli Scorpion and I hear that replacing the cable that secures the spare costs more than Uncle Ray's protector. Whichever way you look at it, £65 is a small price to pay to protect something that'll cost an arm and a leg to replace. Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills

It wasn't a dig. I was curious as to how you reached that figure. So I suppose if you total it all up you weren't that far off in the big scheme of things HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Fitted now. Easy really apart from the PIA necessity to clear out all the rubbish in my boot so that I could get the rear seats up to get at the winch mechanism. Hope I never get a puncture when coming back from France with a boot full of vino
Never had the spare down before. I was quite to see how long the cable is . Where does it all go
Shame such a quality product can't be seen once fitted. Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills

Finally got round to fitting mine - made slight modification of my own - 2 strips of Duck tape on the top surface of the bracket where it site against the inner rim. Looks good - wish I had this 18 months ago when I was relieved of my spare and winch.
For your next project, how about a special key for the removeable tow bar that delivers about 1000 volts.

MINE has NO RLD signature, but was probably intentional. I dont care as it keeps the spare where it should be. Benefits me as I dont need to explain who RLD is,
sorry that at the beginning not every one got the RLD but only wanted 25 did not get them and after 4000+ looking at the post still less than 50 have got one or getting one Home of RLD Hidden winch mounts Spare wheel Locks Trailer Body Fabrication ray@rld-tech.co.uk D3/4 sump plates MY 14 sump plates and the Discovery Sport wheel protectors Discovery 5 wheel locks
