Big weekend...................will do my timing belt change, got the belt, 2 new idler pulleys, necessary special tools etc, etc plus gtr instructions, manual says 3.something hours..............for LR..............probably all weekend for me, hope I get it right, could be horrible consequences if not.
Next job will be the fuel pump belt then the double gearbox flush....................seems like old times with the RRC

You're a very brave [or stupid] man Richard.
Good luck
I took the easy [expensive] option and left mine for the dealer to do. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

The timing belt set up is similar to the Volkswagon LT van, timing belt at the front of the engine and pump belt at rear. The only real difference been that you can remove the front slam panel at the front and bulkhead panel at rear to access belts. No such luxuries with the D3

Good luck Richard.
I also took the expensive route and let the dealer do it. They left the old belts in the boot afterwards for me to look at. Didn't appear to be too badly worn but better safe than sorry.
There appears to be plenty of room to change the ones on the front of the engine, the one on the rear is a different matter.
