exactly the point behind the question - is it the legal limit on speed or the vehicles capabilities?

My OE spec is V rated, higher than H which is around 130mph max. This is high enough for my diesel !!! But I still bought V spec as replacement tyres and they cost me over £10/tyre more than Hs.Nov '54' TDV6 SE Manual 25,000 miles - Excellent !! Don't buy an Auto until you have driven a Manual !!!!

So the tyres should be rated to the max. speed the vehicle is capable of?

dosn't hold water .. France is 81 mph in the dry, and as for Germany ... and its very easy for Brits to go there..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........

i was simply meaning for uk usage not for france, germany or track days tfc never mentioned anything about going abroad he states for lagal usage in the UK
