Good idea Martin. The Freelander (1) off-roaders forum ("Mad Freelanders") has a similar function which I have used on serveral occassions. It was excellent for quickly looking up which tyre sizes fitted which size of alloy (and types, eg. BF Goodrich etc.), when the next service is due and information on common problems.
If a similar system can be built up for the D3 then I look forward to it
My only reservation is that an off-topic filter combined with a more powerful and accurate search facility would probably turn out the same information already contained (and developed and discussed over lengthy times) within the forum However quick and handy access to specific data would be easier. 2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

Simon, thanks to you and the others that helped get the initial data into the Wiki

Teacher has handed out the sweeties for good work
We can all calm down again now
I think this Wiki thing can be really good for all of us, providing it does not go the way of it's big web brother and get edited to be meaningless. Fortunately everyone on here is far to sensible, I hope!
Looking forward to seeing how it progresses

Ah, explains all the correcting I've had to do
Back to Wiki - is it possible to add images? I put in some links to images, but when they are followed it asks for the files to be uploaded. When you try to upload it says that feature is not allowed. Disco 5 HSE Lux

Images is a problem and I've yet to find a way to successfully link to gallery pics - it must be possible though.

Sorry Simon, I thought you were suggesting that I'd deleted the content you and others put in last year Thanks to you and the other helpers who had a play when it was very, very experimental!

To get images in the KB, just paste or type in the http:// link to the image, with no brackets around.
e.g.:
http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/15538/normal_P1000695.JPG
Not
[http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/15538/normal_P1000695.JPG]
or
[[http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/15538/normal_P1000695.JPG]]
etc etc

there is a wealth of useful info in the forum.
I'd like to see some of this in the WiKi, however, I didn't write it in the first place ...
from reading the instructions where it says "You are also promising us that you wrote this yourself, or copied it from a public domain or similar free resource.." I an unsure whether I can include info I have found in the forum or does the specific forum member that wrote it need to submit it?
Also, there are some good docs. available in members galleries - how can they be included (they might be PDF or Word files etc)?

You may re-use information from the forum on the KB, that's the standard copyright message which I need to edit - thanks for pointing it out
Links to Word docs or PDFs would be fine

In the Known Issues & Fixes from MY05 Onwards topic would it be better to organise the issues alphabetically to make them easier to find ?
