Pete, I am trying to find out if I should at all start with a remap. My car is a 2006 HSE TdV6 with 170.000kM's. So I wonder what the effect will be on the engine having lived with the OEM-map, changing in mid-life to a 'viagra' mapping... Likely to end in 'cardiac-arrest' ??? At present I achieve 33mpg on long trips, 29mpg avg. How likely is it [given exellent milage already] I can further improve / reduce consumption?

Done the deed...i'm really impressed. More power pretty much everywhere fuel economy seems unaffected if not slightly better but maybe its a bit early too tell.
Anyone tell me how to use the BAS box to read and clear fault codes it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Good morning Pete
I have a March 2006 Discovery 3 HSE, the drive has never been spectacular always a bit like permanently towing a caravan. Having read lots about your BAS on the forum I would like to remap my car. I note that if you do it at your place you do a complete diagnostic engine check first, If I bought the interface would I be losing out on an important step of the remapping?
Having read your PDF on how to install the software, I think I could (tonge in cheek ) manage it. Or do you have agents in the Milton Keynes area that could do the remap for me?
I would like to have my car mapped by your system so could you advise the best way and the costs involved for me to do this please.
Regards Ian Craig

Hi Pete, have been reading up on what people have to say about re-mapping and I am very interested. But does the re-map add any MPG or would I loose MPG? Cheers Rick

Depends on the tune and, more importantly, how you drive Mark.

Hi Pete (Bellautos)
I see back in January you mention getting developed a Win7 64bit software.
How's this going?
I'm not too tech savy to understand the ins and outs of setting up emulation programs.
Just got myself an interface off another member and looking to get a re-map.
Thanks.... D3 TDV6

Hi Pete,
Recently purchased a Discovery 3 and joined this Forum.
I was interested to get a remap for my disco, especially after reading about how much of a difference it makes,
The vehicle is a 54 plate (Dec 2004) SE.
My quereis were, does the remap interface superseed the faultmate? I plan to keep this vehicle a while as appears to be in really good condition, well looked after.
I have also read that you can do incredible things like activate the 4X4 info screen, enable offroad navigation and turn on directional headlights?? Presumably that requires additional hardware though?
What do I want a remap for??
A lot of my driving is on steep hills, and I am quite often towing a trailer, can't help but feel that a wee bit more torque wouldn't go a miss. My sensible head says improved economy through less gear changes, but in reality I am probably being seduced by the potential power.
Is it still £519?

Hi
If you require things like the 4x4 info screen etc i think it best you gfo for the fault mate msv2, this will let you activate things and also give you a change to buy a remap on the same tool.
