its all part of the fun. its the kind of stupid thing that i would do, but seems like a good idea at the time. if he had had the balls to turn left and accelerate he may have made it down in once piece 8)

Think this is all about the obvious

Has he done it before, so ‘knows’ his ground – just a sods law moment at the top…

Or, Was it a spur of the moment decision backed up by having seen others successfully clear the top…

Or, a red mist ‘hop out son, and watch your dad’ moment

Hey guys, I think we all have done this, but most off the time it just goes right. We all like to try something were other just failed or maybe made it. Offroad driving can be dangerous, but onroad driving too.

I had my share of hary moments too. I had 2 moments that I thought that I would roll my Camel. One was a little like this video but on a slippery hill. Before I could get it in reverse I was coming down already and my right rear tyre went up a steep hill and stopped the car the front turned a little and came way up. It stayed up for a few seconds (my feeling said at least 10 minutes) and then came down a bit.
The right front tyre stayed about 1 meter above the ground.
A friend of my rolled out my winch and secured around a tree. Then finally my heartbeat came below 200 again.

We all expect things not to go wrong or break. What if half way a hill like that a rear half shaft breaks or if you are winching yourselves up a hill and something breaks?

What I find strange is that he send his son out off the car. Why? This means he knew he was going to take a big risk.
