Webasto Heater Timer Where Is Yours Mounted ?
Hi I have now got all the bits I need for the Webasto Heater By GSM (Thanks Wiggs) But I am looking for the best place to mount the timer. I cant mount in the roof sunroof position as I have already used this position for my Coastguard lights and siren switches.
I have had a look and wondered about mounting it on the gear leaver housing (auto) in front of the leaver but have not taken it up to see if it is possible please can you all let me know where you have mounted yours and photos if possible.
Many thanksYou can never have too many toys...

unfortunatley mine is in the sunroof switchs position but the next best place seems to be in the blanking plate just behind the EPB switchTintenter

Could be hidden if you don't intend to use the timer as a timer (ie always heat by GSM)???
Mine is by the Sunroof, Nokia carkit by the EPB.
Maybe on the front face of the cubby??? Mount inverted so you can see/read when you lean fwd??? My D2 timer was there and it worked quite well, not sure about access on the D3 though.Cheers

TFC did mine and it's hidden - I just use the remote as and when needed
Did mine the weekend before Christmas and hid my timer as I always use the remote.
Mind you, I've left plenty of cable attached so I can mount the timer somewhere at a later date if I want to - in fact Carabraxis' solution looks good Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills

Same for me, mine is sealed in a a plastic bag in the spare battery box. I only use the remote to fire it. No need to run wires to the cabin.

I'm looking at this mod as well, I have a GSM tracker module (so i know where the car is allways) that has a relay output which I could use.
Where do you get these weber timers from are they expensive ?
