Was traveling down a single carridgeway a road, when i came accross a sunday driver. So i put the auto box into sport mode so i could overtake him,put my foot down and off the car set.All was fine until id just passed them and then nothing,it was as if id taken my foot off of the throttle pedal. The car slowly came to a crawl but no pressing of the throttle did anything, the car just "ticked over"
So i switched off, waited 5 seconds and started again and all was fine again in throttle land.
1ST is this normal as in can this happen sometimes
2ND if its the throttle pedal ,would it store it as a fault code
or should i just blame another thing on the EGR valves
Any help would be very gratefull
The car does have warrenty on it ,but dont want to bother taking it in if "they cant find anything wrong"
Thanks in advance

just knowing my luck, they will have it for 2 million years and say "cant find anything wrong"
I bought the car not from a stealer but a private garage, but still has warrenty on it.
For all i know it may never do it again......ever
But do i take that chance ??????

You'd have to be mad not to get it checked out. It probably won't do it ever again but get it checked all the same. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

I had a similar situation earlier this year and it turned out to be a de-laminated turbo pipe which was pinching shut and starving the engine of air.
A very strange situation because when the engine slows down and you set of again everything seems ok. it used to happen after hard acceleration.
Took it to my local LR dealer and they plugged it in look at the air intake error and immediately recognised it as the problem. I would definitely get it to a dealer.

Call out LRA and tell them your worried about driving it in case it happens again!!! Too many older Land Rovers to mention
If at first you don't succeed, Forget it!

My car died over the weekend as well. Sounds really lumpy and even with foot full on throttle only just had enough oomph to get of the drive. Called LRA but they only sent a local garage who didn't know diddly squat about land rovers. He said it might be an injector problem anybody got any other ideas??. Has been towed off to local dealers and awaiting phone call. LRA replacement car very good though. Enterprise did not have a discovery so gave ma a top of the range jag and are swopping it today back to a disco.
