sounds about right. I was offered 10k for my 55 plate S, with 60k on the clock 4 weeks ago - got very close to punching the sales guy.
NOT selling at that price.

Sell it, trade it in ... nope, it's near worthless in terms of re-sale??
To me it's still a 40k vehicle ... still looks like it, still drives like it!
No hassles with it & no finance on it!!
I'd be absolutely mad to let it go!!...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

still don't understand it....one of my local dealers has one nearly identical to mine in terms of miles but a bit older for £16,950.
They can't have it both ways......or they really can take huge hits on the asking price.end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......
Just did one of ronp's value checks on mine and it came up with a part-ex of £15k (06 SE 45k).
I'd be very surprised if I got offered anything over £10k for it. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

I'm going to drive mine until it drops dead, then I'm going to park it down the bottom of the garden and keep chickens in it
Well, it would be cheaper than buying a proper hen house
They reckon £14.5k trade for mine, as with everyone else, I not changing for that.
"I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant"
Reminds me of the (sub-)urban myth of the pig farmer who drove pigs around in his Rolls Royce; when the dealership discretely suggsted this was not a good way to treat his car (and the marque), they were met with the rejoinder "Pigs bought it; pigs'll ride in it"...Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

I'm going to do the same.... it'll be intresting to see just how long i can make it last.... i do 30k per annum, the car is four years old in May 09.... at that point i will need to refinace (If i can get finace ) the balloon... (12k ) i will do this over two years thats another 60k.... so car will have 180k... then i'm going to have run it for a further year banking my car allowance ( if i still have a job that is )..... to claw back 12 months car allowance to off set depreciation. Then i can change...... so that'll be 210k and 2012.... just in time for a Disco 4 THydrogenV8..cos thats what they are designing and building in Dagenham...
I am never never never never never never never never going to buy a car with a balloon again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i'm lovin it....

Are you sure it's not the Balloon who's bought the car ????????????????????
only kidding, I bought mine on 'balloon', but was lucky enough that I put away an amount every month so that I was able to pay the whole thing off 3 months before it was due....... always on the road less travelled 🚧
