How much to pay for D3 TDV6 HSE?
Am looking around for 55plate TDV6 HSE model. Can you advise how much these Disco 3 cost and what sort of Disco can i expect for around 16k ? It maybe a good time to purchase a Disco 3 as the financial market has took a tumble.
I travelling around 60 miles per day and know it may cost £60 per week for driving to work but i would like to drive in comfort and be safe.
Any advise on servicing costs?
Thanks
Jules

Agreed - if it was an 06MY then it's in the right ball-park, but there's always the joy of the haggle The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

At todays fuel prices for a 5day working week @ 60miles per day i'd estimate it @ about £45-£48
Thats based on my figures (manual gearbox) but I don't think auto would be much different, and you might even do better than that as most of my journeys are short and so a bit more thirsty!

I dont really mind manaul or auto box but does one perform better off road than the other and would there be a great saving on road having a manual when travelling 60 mile per day on a motorway?
Also a later model 07 plates seems to be nearly on the same par as 05/06 plates, is this due to the road tax charge being £400 instead of £210?

I paid £14645 for my 2005 TDV6 HSE Auto 1 owner 39k silver with side steps and 19" alloys. Ex bp management car with full main dealer history and full spec.
From autoquake.com
They drop the price on them every 3 days until they sell ! I haven't looked but I bet they have them in stock.
PM me if you would like to know more about the dealer/service/experience etc. I don't want to promote them to much as they are not a site sponsor!

I have tracked down a D3 TDV6 55 plate HSE 33,000 miles , 2 owners, FSH , many extras but asking price of £18K,Mint cond.
Any thoughts as i think it may be over priced?
Seems very high. I know a guy who has just paid £19k for a 08 57 plate HSE Auto with 20k miles. They are falling rapidly. Why pay £14k for a 2005 model when you can get one three years newer for not a great deal more? I called a LR dealer yesterday which had a 2008 57 plate HSE listed for £25k - and they were soon dropping the price to £22k when I mentioned I had no part-ex...
btw - it works both ways. A few months back a mate of mine was only offered £13k part-ex for his HSE Auto (06 plate)! They decided not to trade it in at the time - however his wife is really pushing him to get a low-tax/low-emission replacement (he runs it through his business and the benefit in kind tax is killing him - it cost £45k new). He went back to the supplying LR dealer this week - and they told him they are not buying in anything right now and not interested at *any* price. He called another dealer who only offered £11k I think he will just stick with it as he's lost so much he cannot see the point - so now he wants to buy it off the business and will run it as a 2nd car and buy a low-emissions car for weekday business use...

Its really down to the balance to change - they gave me 9k for a 56 plate voyager in Px.
Everybody else was offering 7k ish for px. What amazed me was that the day after I px the chrysler they had it on the website for £9299?
I'm wondering if they made a mistake and valued it as a grand voyager. They gave me an automated online px price. I done the deal and they don't inspect your px until the day of collection.

It will cost you £60 a week unless you can average 27mpg!
Thats maybe 29mpg on the computer! I dont' think that is possible unless you drive downhill there and back!
