Suspension Fault

Going around a roundabout today car bongs, amber warning light (with image of D3 and arrows up, down and sideways) and an info message saying 'Suspension fault, normal height only' appears Big Cry . Restart at next set of lights and ok... until I get to the next roundabout Rolling Eyes Rang my dealer and they said to bring the car in first thing in the morning and leave it with them and that the problem should be covered by the extended LR warranty Shocked (It better be).

Sounds very similar - should know in the morning and according to my LR extended warranty book the suspension is fully covered under the warranty Smile

my D3 was just over 3 years old when i bought it, i got it from a land rover dealership which came with the 12months warranty. i took it in and they said compressor needed replacing and they had 1 in stock and replaced it there and then. waited about 1 hour.! no charge.

Hi buddy mine went in today for the same issue, been around since i came back from morocco. Has now been confirmed at faulty compressor. Quoted me £450. Thats a specialist not a LR dealer.

The service manager's just rung to tell me that the fault was caused by a faulty pressure sensor, they have ordered a new one and I'll get the car back Saturday morning Thumbs Up

I also had a suspension sensor go faulty, about a year ago now (luckily while the car was still under warranty). So it seems both compressor and sensor can cause trouble.

This trip was doomed from the start...

What with the battery problem the day we left and now a suspension fault - I'm beginning to lose patience with this car... Evil or Very Mad.

Getting the bong and "suspension fault, max speed 30mph" warning, and the front doesn't want to go up or down. Also got a "vehicle will rise when cooled", which is ironic as it is between -4C and-8C here in Chamonix. All not ideal on Boxing day on a family holiday 700 miles from home...
Very Black 07 HSE. Sometimes with added mud. Sometimes towing a boat. Always grinning.

Sorry to hear about the problems. Was the battery trouble completely cured? Could the warnings be caused rather by some electrics problem?

Trust you had a good time on the slopes Smile
