Am I the only one who thinks the design of the wiper stalk is very poor? Even after two years driving, it doesn't seem very intuitive. I still get the front and rear wash pull wrong, and it's way too easy to leave the rear wiper running unintentionally.

No! It's definitely backwards from every other car I've driven. Drives me crazy, especially when the car is clean and I just want to spray the front but end up making a mess in the back...

Agree on the front is the back back-to-front thing! Wink

I found polishing the windscreen helps improve accuracy (with dedicated glass polish of course, I used Autoglym stuff).

It could be worse, when the EPB was fixed last Friday I had a FL2 for the day and the wipers on that were even worse! Awful!

My front auto wipe is worse in the dark than in the light - often when sitting in traffic in a street-lit road, the screen can be pretty much covered in raindrops before the auto wipe kicks in

Hi Phil,
I think that's your answer.

While I don't have "auto" wipers, mine slow down/stop when I stop.

I wondered whether speed of the vehicle had an influence but if the stalk is in auto wipe mode when I start the car and the screen has rain on it, the wipers clear the screen as soon as the key is turned.

There is a speed factor, for example in slow traffic (if you just stopped) it keeps wiping fast for a bit before it slows to intermittent.

Also works faster at motorway speeds.
