Car again has the known front bush problem causing "thump" noise on small potholes, but as it is only an "advisory" for the MOT , garage won't repair it under warranty Anyone know if there is a LR technical bulletin on this?, as that would demonstrate it is a design fault and make the issue of the specific MOT requirements irrelevant.
Thanks

Had mine done under warranty sometime ago.
I understood it was a warranty issue to replace if the customer complained about it, or at least that's what my dealer told me

The fact that LR have issued a revised part for the lower suspension ball joint would point to a weakness.
I have just had mine changed for the second time in 114k miles, but out of warranty now. It was not desparetely expensive, but a cost all the same. 1st set was under warranty at 60k miles, after I complained of a thud/knock especially on sharp application of the brakes.

10forcash - any idea of the manufacturing date range for cars with that VIN? (mine is in garage with the paperwork so don't have the VIN to hand!)

I think TFC's number is for cars from the beginning of production, not sure when the cutoff date is, but certainly well beyond end 2005

Thanks - my build is late 2004, so probably included. Rather sounds as if it is the usual LR warranty policy problem

Get on to LRCC and express your concern In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Well mines late 2004, and they originally did mine without question.

Good news - LR warranty backed down and have agreed that it is covered so parts on the way to be refitted (they only seem to have a 12 month lifespan!)
