Fecking environmentalists

Right then chaps.....here goes.
Was driving home earlier and was stuck behind a car that was going slow (30 in a 60, rural type roads but major route) and had to stay behind due to no where to over take. Frustrating to say the least.
Anyway, after a few miles i had to pull into the fuel station as did the car in front and ended up next to each other at the pumps. The driver was looking across at me so i said hi and they commented that they had seen me in their mirror so i casually mentioned about their speed. They replied they drove slow to improve fuel economy and hence help the environment. I said that their car was quite good on fuel and it probably wouldn't make a difference (nissan micra) and they said not theirs....but mine.
They had been driving slow to slow me down....can you believe that.

So when i was still filling as they came out from paying i gave them a nod and smiled, that seemed to annoy them enough Laughing

I'd have offered to reduce their carbon emissions by driving over their feckin Micra and making it a Micro Evil or Very Mad

I'd have called them a sad no-life cnut and suggested that if they'd bothered to get on with their life instead of sticking their nose into the lives of others, maybe they could afford a D3.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Unfortunately an all too common trait among our "pompous in the extreme" Eco Warrior compatriots who know better than any one else how we all should be living our lives.

You should have told the tw@ that thanks to his actions you had to fill up at this station. Had you been allowed to run the vehicle at its optimum speed you could easily have reached the next one...

You should have farted loudly and said: "whoops, all your hard work undone!" Laughing

What a nerve. The slower he makes you go, the longer your D3 is driving along 'polluting'. He should've waved you by to ensure your planet-killing journey is completed in the minimum time Laughing

Things like this are added to the "why I am glad I no longer live in the UK..." list... Evil or Very Mad
The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

I'd have offered to reduce their car's localised emissions footprint to zero.
Now that would grab their attention Smile

If they asked how, I'd simply get the rope out of the back and tow them off........... Keep the rope nice and short so they will really have a good view of on-coming traffic.......

Obeying the speed limits naturally, and with the radio up full blast to drown out any screams, horn honking....

After a few miles just turn off onto a nice muddy lane, and explain to them that that's as far as you're going as you feel the urge to catch some fish (or shoot some deer....)
