I've wasted hours on this game...
41275 is my best, but I've no clue how those high scores listed were made.
It always gets too hot and blows at around 40000 for me, even after a perfect launch.
I've tried every combination of everything I can think of but no joy.
Any tips?2005 D3 HSE 2011 D4 Landmark 2016 D4 HSE Lux

Yes, and you get a bonus added to the height score.
The left and right cursor keys work as nose up and down while dropping. Just drop the nose and pull level when the view zooms in, which it always does just before the ground.
Now, how can I can get the thing higher?2005 D3 HSE 2011 D4 Landmark 2016 D4 HSE Lux

The best way to get the height I've found is at about 2.5 seconds to go, pressboth cursor keys, let them go right up to the top then release. You have to get the timing right when to release so that the thrust drops back down in to the green before take off. Hope that makes sense The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.
Thank you for wasting another 20 minutes of my life..... I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

my technique: full power before launch, jettison booster rockets immediately (and I mean immediately) by pressing space - then gentle and often leftright adjustments to keep the beastie as vertical as possible then at around 350,000 to 370,000 press space to jettison tank - you'll get over 400,000 every time Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

That's a good technique SN, but there's people on the high scores list who've got high 400k's and even 500k's - Can't work out how they do it? Still that's another 1/2 hour of my life I'll never get back.
