Mine are juddering badly at the front on a 3 week old car.

Thought I'd get some at Halfwits, but only when I actually looked at them did I realise they aren't standard things.

Where do you get some? Is the juddering normal?

When the car is delivered to the dealer from the factory, the wiper blades have protective strips attached to them. If these are roughly removed, the integrity of the blades can be jeopardised - often resulting in a squeak.

I had a squeaky driver side wiper; the result was that both wipers and wiper arms were replaced under warranty.

Take it back and get the dealer to sort it out - they are not standard, off the shelf type bits of kit I am afraid.

Think they are exactly the same as the Porsche Cayenne, no point going there though possibly 4 times more.

I don't suppose it works the same way but when I needed some bits for my Porsche 944 the dealer was cheeper than anywhere else for example the thermostat was £4.80 cheeper than Halfords.

I also priced up some more expensive bit's (thankfully not required) and again they were all cheeper from the dealer

They even sent the bits to me free of charge and I received a phone call from them to say that the parts had been dispatched. The total price of the bits was only £20!

A Thumbs Up for Porsche Centre Nottingham.

Thanks

I've sent the dealer I bought the car from in Oxford an email. Hopefully they will sort something out by post as I'm not local to them, otherwise I'll go to the local dealer and introduce myself.

I assume the wipers are the same as the RRS. I got mine from the local dealer (Oxford) and cost £14.10 each. My wipers needed replacing when vehicle was only three months old - less really as I'd be suffering from juddering and loads of noise. Then found when when replacing it that the rubber had torn away.

They may of been swapped under warranty but I didn't want to wait for the garage as they wanted me to book it in and loose it for the morning! Not worth the hassle, so I paid the money!

If they are defective they will be covered under warranty-especially at that age.

there is a limited warranty on wiper blades obviously but you should be ok for a claim

btw. saw a new volvo the other day with what looked like the same blades on.

I had the same juddering wiper, on driver`s side and after inspection decided that the blade was being pushed up the screen rather than being pulled up..!
Then in true Land Rover style, attacked it with two pairs of grips to make the very technical swipe angle adjustment, to the arm...
The result is amazing.!! silent wipers at last....
Maybe LR could send me a big fat cheque, for solving this world wide problem,
or maybe not!!!!! Rolling Eyes

Yes, I could of get them swapped under warranty, but my dealer wanted me to book the car in and then I would of had to loose half a day and sit at the dealership for hours. Decided I'd rather pay £15 and sort it myself.

Many cars have these new types of wipers now. VW have been fitting them for a few years now.

had the same problem with my drivers side front wiper blade yesterday ... rubber had come off the same as mpwox11.

called the service centre today to ask how much and they said - wait for it - $56 (AU) dollars EACH !!!
then the parts guys said that it should be replaced under warranty.
so i drove straight to the service centre and got a new one fitted under warranty ... was there for a total of 10mins and back on the road again Very Happy

Our local dealer does not stock wiper blades for the RRS! So to get the replaced under warranty, they wanted me to take the car in to inspect it, then they would order them and then take the car back again to fit them in a few days time.
I therefore just phoned the parts dept myself and asked them to order one in and paid for it myself. It cost me £15, but it saved one wasted journey which would of taken about 2 hours out of the day and cost about the same in fuel!

Had mine replaced by dealer. They charged me for it too (ouch!). Refused under warranty even though doing it since new. Evil or Very Mad I did keep forgeting to tell them as it hadn't ben raining. Embarassed
Next time it rained seemed ok , next time They were back to theair old tricks.
Is there a TSB for this issue I can quote at the dealer.
