I have to say, so did I, but TLO says 3
Maybe do 3 first, then if it doesn't work try 5

Looking at the compressor on fleabay it looked like only two wire connection so on or off. So could the compressor be replaced withan after market one provided you can connect the filtre line to it? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

That is a classic sign of someone using the compressor housing as a jacking point. That would explain why the air dryer exploded.

Unfortunately the drain hole is the same size, and looks like the jack locating point in the chassis. Many have made this mistake before.
I just had a new compressor fitted this morning by the team at Yeovil - mine failed on the same day as rallycol's, but not due to being jacked
As ever, a great service by Nick and the Service Department at Yeovil - keys to broken D3 handed to Service Dept at 0830, shiny washed and repaired D3 ready at the front doors by 1000!
Nice to be able to go up and down again
And the bill was £339 cheaper than my local stealer (Roger Young Saltash) quoted - yes you did read that right!Previously:
