United States 2007 LR3 4.4 V8 HSE Auto Java BlackLR3

Here are some chains that seem to fit (only just) on our Land Rover '07 LR3HSE. They are SuperZ LT model ZT735. They are available at local sporting goods stores in the USA. Here is a link describing the chains: http://www.scc-chain.com/Traction%20Pages/Trac_SZLT.html They seem to be around $75 US online: http://www.carparts.com/Tire-Chains-Access..._10618.car

Below are some pictures - we had record snow this December in Oregon. The chains got us around the city just fine, and up to Mount Hood for New Years skiing. They chains are split style and pretty easy to install if you follow the directions - they even come with large plastic gloves to keep your hands clean while installing.

Hope this info is useful, and Happy Holidays!

....I have need

for some chains - an earlier "cheap" set bought at Carrefours supermarket were the right size but fouled the suspension
I have looked at:

http://www.konig.it/SearchCateneNeve.aspx?ID=712 .......made by Thule...also have a new design of easier fit ones
http://www.brindleychains.co.uk/
http://www.store2go.net/shop/theoffroadsto...OW+CHAINS/

.....would be interesting to know just how much narrower the LR ones are & if this sacrifices some of the strength / wear factor...I know to my cost that a worn then broken chain can inflict serious damage even after a few revs of a wheel.
 BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

I've done a test on these in heavy snow for a magasine, we drove a volvo xc70 ith a pair of these fitted to the front tyres only straight up a piste in austria, we did the same thing with normal chains and the socks went just as far as the chains before slipping...

no snagging issues like th photo's of the chains show either..

Bargain Ken Thumbs Up

especially as they cost circa £600 new. £200 per set (2) of chains I think they were, plus spacers

If I hadnt already got some I'd bite your hand off.

if anyone is looking for chains, these are some of the best and heavy duty.... much better than the cheaper type made out of garden chain / fuse wire Whistle Wink

seen several makes of this type of cover and all the reading / video's seem to point to an excellent product. However, isn't it a LEGAL requirements in some area's to have snowchains; would that cover autosocks?
while they should do the job, authorities may not view them as an aid for snow driving!!
Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!
