Heated Screen Help

Our Base D3 did not come with a heated screen, but 2 big stones chips the size of 2 pound coins ment we needed a new windscreen.

RAC fitted a heated windscreen Smile and pluged it in, How can we get it to work?
do we need a relay etc...

I think it will be only a Factory fit job. The heater control unit seems to be sealed and you would need to add the switch between the prog and rear screen buttons (Climate Control).

I would check with your Dealer's parts dept, see if their system shows the exploded view of the heater controls. It may show if the switch can be added, then you pray that the wiring is there! Check of fuse box might show no wiring for Heated seats, Heated Screen / Washers.

It'd mean a new IHU as the switch is built in, but presuming you can all the other bits required it may be possible to wire up an extra switch elsewhere. Doubt it'll be simple though Confused
