Sunroof Rattle

Anyone experienced a rattle coming from the sunroof Rolling Eyes - seems like its worse when the sunblind is retracted?
I've tried doing a search but can't find any sollutions.

After 2000km my Disco is going well, no other problems, very impressed!

Hi Louis

I have just experienced the same symptom, albeit after 84,000km. My sunroof brackets are cracked, and LR Midrand have ordered parts to replace it. Dunno when they will arrive though. I have been advised to drive with the sunroof closed in he interim Smile

Open your sunroof all the way, and check the support brackets, they seem to be made of black nylon or similar plastic. if they are cracked, get down to your stealer and ask them to have a look. It is a warranty item

Louis,

If you are talking about the rattle from the blind, mine does it but only when open and on cr Censored p gravel. To stop the irritation I jam a bit of bog-roll between the latch and the roof. Not pretty but it works.

never considered that till you mentioned it Rob. Then i remembered having to smack the headliner back into place once . That could rattle i spose. Give it a bang on the front edge of the headliner just forward of the sunroof and see if it locks into place

Yes Rob, sounds like its coming more from the sunblind/ headliner than from the sunroof.
Its worse when the sunblind is open.
I'll look if the headliner is in place tonight Baben, maybe just needs a whack! Twisted Evil
