My park brake motor was replaced last monday under warranty by the dealer because it was causing a loud strange noise every time I pulled the park brake button.
Now is two days after and I got a park brake failure and no park brake release. Both lights (amber and red) flashing.
I followed the instructions in the owners manual for the emergency release. Thank God I read that a week ago. You can disengage the brakes manually.
Why does these things happen? This is why people talk bad about LR. They just repaired it and It is worst than before. Now what? Go to the dealer again. I did not mentioned that last time they had it for 2.5 weeks.

Alas, as described in another thread from early this year, it took the dealer over 2 1/2 months to fix my park brake, after it dragged, melted itself, caused rubber fittings to smoulder, ect. At least it has worked perfectly since then. normal cause for the graunch noise when the park brake is appliied is due to incorrect adjustment, as per the failure could be a faulty switch
