Can't check out of the site's shop |
|
Tried to check out of the site's shop and it asked me to log in (even though I was already logged in). So I logged in and it said "Login failed". So I tried again and it failed again. So I logged out of the site, returned to the shop and tried again. It failed to login again. Finally, I guessed that the login might be case sensitive in the shop, whereas it's not on the main site. The shop then said, "Authentication blocked for 10 minutes for security reasons." I suppose I must have used up my 3 lives.
Ho hum, at least I can log back in here to report the problem. I'll buy a DISCO3 sticker another day.

I can't even get to the payment bit. I have just tried again and after a few failed attempts it again said, "Authentication blocked for 10 minutes for security reasons". Is it my fat fingers or is it broken?

The shop works. I'm the eedjit. I tried again and twigged that it's not enough to be a registered user on the forum; you have to register on the shop, also. The fact that the shop showed my user name and password confused me, as did the "login failure" message. I might have twigged it earlier if it had told me that I wasn't registered on the shop. TBH, it does say somewhere that you have to register but I busied myself filling in the fields and left the instructions for later.
Anyway, DISCO3 sticker has been ordered.

No problem. In the meantime, if anyone sees a Lux-registered D3 driving around Guildford and Richmond, Surrey, it's SWMBO on a week's jolly to Blighty. She's taken the little blighters with her, so everything here is in its place and I can settle down with a DVD and a good bottle of red. First thing is to clean the little darlings' finger prints off the plasma screen.
