Browsing the forum on a Blackberry Pearl

I have aquired a BBP and find I am having a few problems using it to browse the forum.

It does not matter whether I use the /MO forum or the normal forum, it will let me login, and gives a login success message, but as soon as I try to do something like post a reply or view anything that requires me to login again.

My old PDA was great with the forum, but the BB has a few extra setting to play with.

Any ideas?

BB browser has been known to be pants G.

Can you download and install Opera for the BB ?

I have good reception here Dunc, I suppose I'd better RTFM :yawn:

I have purchased a 2 hour wireless rip-off from the hotel for now. :thud:

I use something called iPass. It' about £300 a year but give you free access to loads of wifi spots all over the I'm and in particular accross Europe. Works out much cheaper than €20/night Bodsys Brake Bible

That sounds not bad. I've never thought about that option before. Is that unlimited data? I've been using the N95 like i'm doing the now.

Have to say get an iPhone they are much better than crackberrys

Able to browse and post the forums without a problem - even able to buy new bits for sale whilst stuck on the M1. Allowed me to beat the rush on Dr diesels clearout whilst stuck in a jam (traffic not sandwich) the 3g one is well worth the wait. Thumbs Up

Thats the real rub with it... oh and a shonky camera.

There is a sim insert thingy that fools the iPhone into thinking your on O2, but you still have to sign up to an O2 contract to even get hold of the iPhone Thud

Got a new N82 Black now... great phone - just works Thumbs Up

And it multitasks like all S60's can Whistle

If you are stuck with the BB, I would also recommend Opera Mini: http://www.operamini.com/ Thumbs Up

I use it with my BB Curve, and it is streets ahead of the native browser. The only (slight) drawback is that any location-dependent sites think you are in Norway, because of the way Opera handle the data for you. Mark...
