I emailed my dealer today, but no reply yet. As it's part of the airbag circuit I'm sure it's done FOC, but may be wrong! Let us know what your dealer says.Previously:

William - service advisor at Guava Godalming advised me it is a recall item now. It must be because the air bag is a safety safety device and needs to work.
My cruise control issue was spotted in warranty, the fix was a software download twice and now will be fixed at no cost out of warranty with a new clock spring - booked in for next Wednesday.
Because there is high demand for the fix, I think the modified replacement part may be in short supply for a while, Nick at Yeovil will likely know the supply and recall situation. Nick any comment?2016 D4 Landmark

Got a call from the dealer today to say the clockspring for vehicles in the affected VIN range is a service action, so will be changed during the next service FOC, whether or not in warranty . It's not a recall though, so no urgency.Previously:
