Go for it, planning on having mine a long time. i have done all the chassis inside and out and lots underneath. I have a 23 year old Capri that I did from new, it's still rust free it would normally be in the scrap yard now. Arctic Frost Discovery 3 TDV6 SE, Active Rear Diff, Adaptive Head Lights, Tow Pack, Ebony Leather, Roof Rails, Mantec Guard. Tasmod Stainless Sill plates. Grabber AT's. Home made mud flaps. Side Steps back on until the next time.

Had ours Waxoiled a a few months back now, cost me £80 and was done properly* by the same guy who finally managed to do the king spring coil upgrades after 3 others failed.
* We steam cleaned it first, then he went into all the holes and cavaties in the chassis and such like, not just a surface covering.
Note the steam clean isn't included in the £80, I did that at a mates a couple of days before to ensure the vehicle was clean & dry.
Not saying the Before'n'After people aren't better (or worse) for waxoiling, but that's alot more to pay for a wax-oil application than I paid and I didn't have to do a 3 hours roundtrip. I might consider the KleenTech coating on a newer model though as I've heard good reports about that. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
