Sunroof drains
Just followed some of these tips to stop me getting a shower when it rains. So far I have 3 good drains and the one above the drivers seat (rhd) clears quickly and drips from the X behind the air intake but I also still found some dripping off the accelerator. Is there a joint somewhere in the a pillar?
And by the way, Hi, this is my first post as I have only had a D3 just over a week. Prior to that I had a D2 and was a member of another forum, but so far I have this site fantastic!

In case it's still a problem, the joint is in the footwell, above the pedals and behind the dash. It joins to the 'star' (X) valve behind the OS wing vent. Most people cut the end off these with a pair of side cutters. It's plenty high enough not to be an issue with wading depth for most.
Welcome to the fold

Do you get to this joint from inside the car or through the wheel arch liner? The sunroof drains lovely but I think ALL of the water from the drivers side comes out in the footwell. The x end is wide open now, foam cut away. Tip water in the drain and it floods out in the footwell. I suspect the pipe is out of the joint. Hoping not to take the wheel arch liner out!!!!

You get to it from the footwell but .....it's not that easy and you need to be 'flexible'

If I could see it I could most likely sort it! I can see the loom as above, but as yet no black pipe apart from one passing behind the brake pedal, which to be honest is pressed by the brake pedal when you push it. This exits towards the engine bay though. Is this the rear washer?

This is the pipe. The cable is an optional Harmon Kardon thing, badly installed by the look of it!!!!

Fixed mine yesterday. The elbow from the sunroof drain at the bottom was so bad I did not realise looking from the outside (air intake on the RHD) that it wasn't sealing at all anymore. When I took the covers off inside it came loose and hung there. Temporary fixed by putting it from the outside in.
How high up above the accelerator is the exit? I can't see it anywhere and cant see a pipe anywhere! I know it is there somewhere as there is water there!!!!

On the right track - it's up behind the accelerator but.. It's 3 years since I did mine so can't remember much detail I'm afraid.

Is that it? If so, how is that going to reach anywhere!!! Can't even see where it goes. It is a bigger bore than I expected.

All done!! It was that pipe. Just pulled back up the a pillar, joined to another pipe with some rescue tape and threaded it to the outlet behind the air intake with some strimmer wire. Had to say bye bye to the X outlet and just have the end of my pipe safely nestled in the drain hole!!!!! And now water flows like a dream to the OUTSIDE of the car!!!!!!!
