on petrol car the batterie is a 75ah and on a diesel it's a 100ah, something like that.
By the way mine is always down when i'm working in it. Meaby less problem since interior lighting is always switched "off".
But always after 5 days of staying in a parking, impossible to start only with the main batterie. So i connect the IBS with the yellow optima and it goes.
And LR tested and says "no problem the batterie is almost like a new" so ... the problem persist.

Although it says nothing to warn you about in the handbook - if you just leave the key in the ignition you will very soon have a flat battery. After seven hours I had insufficient power even to close windows. Dealer reckons battery would have been flat after only a couple of hours.

I seem to recall TFC saying that the drain on the battery can be between 10 and 24A whilst the key is in the ignition as it keeps most of the car (including the 500W+ stereo system) alive. That would be enough to flatten even the most determined battery in a short time. The fact that the key is inserted yet not turned makes no difference; the amps are flowing. I'm sure if you need more, TFC will correct my recollections with the real deal Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?
