Tried taking my Mantec plate off this arvo ...what do the rear bolts thread into ??? ..I thought it was the chassis rail but I've managed to shear off the bolt recipient on the right hand side and now it just dangles there 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

They are captive nuts, the same bolts hold the front of the engine undertray. If its seized and sheared off, then it will have to be drilled out.
Once its drilled out, it should not be to difficult to weld a new captive nut in place.

Funny coincidence there DG - took my Mantec off today and cleaned out the underside of the D3. Completely splattered in crap/branches/mud etc - took best part of an hour to wash the mud out from under the Mantec and then oiled/greased the bolts before putting the plate back on.

I'm glad I paid the same attention to my new mantec whan I put it on last week "its probably a virus, you'll be right as rain in a few days and if you're playing sport try to favour the other leg"

Threads on mine are stripped too Was going to see how much a new plate with threaded nuts would cost I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Just heard from Nick at Yeovil; the plate with the captive bolts is velly cheap, to the point that it makes no sense messing around grinding off the old nuts and welding on new ones
Part ID No. is 6N634A on LR MicroCat, not sure what the SKU/Part No. is, and it's just over a tenner plus delivery / p&p 8) I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
