I'm trying to figure out how you would get a stick through the airbag suspension. Mine is fully shrouded by stiff pieces of metal, probably aluminum. You would have puncture this aluminum shield to get to the vulnerable rubber. This is a much better design than the old Range Rover P38 or Classic (or D2) which simply had reinforced, exposed rubber springs.
Can the factory snorkel intake be modified to seal out water? I realize that over the factory wading limit probably exposes electrics that shouldn't get wet, but I'm curious just the same. Current Rovers:

1992 Range Rover County
1997 Range Rover 4.0SE
Previous Rovers:

Also Current:
2012 Volkswagen GTI 2.0 TSI
1995 Mercedes-Benz E320
1999 Audi A8 4.2 quattro

Factory snorkel can be modified but you need to replace the porous hose in the intake and seal the rubber elbow.
It is also a good idea to seal the modules behind the main battery. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
