I had a strange incident this morning with my car. I started the engine as normally, seleced R gear to reverse out from yard (parking brake was not on),
pushed accelerator pedal -> nothing happened. Engine did not rev up nor the car moved. I tried pushing the pedal more and several times. The engine sound did change into darker tone but no revs. I switched off and started again, this time it operated normally. No error messages were visible.
Couple of days ago I noticed a lack of acceleration after traffic lights that may have same source. After that incident I got Engine system fault when I switched off then engine.

Were you running the timed pre-heater? - I have had this after running it, it used to cut off when engine started, but after LR fiddled with it the auto cut off appears to be "iffy" - may be a related FBH issue?

I've experienced this in the same circumstances, I have found that if you leave the engine 30s or so without touching anything the revs appear DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
DS3 TDV6 HSE- Silver with Alpaca (new one) Gone
D4 HSE Lux - Montalcino Red Gone
Porsche Cayenne V8 Diesel S

I have also had this with when using the FBH. It seems to happen if you leave the heater running for more than 30 minutes.
