As Dunc said MTRs, even though i would have had more chance of sh ing in the queens handbag than getting out as soon it sank in, regardless of tyres

CFB. There are no local signs on the lane. There is nothing on the GLASS website either. How did you know this Andy?
I totally agree it should not be driven, but all I can find is an obscure posting on the LRO forum. Not very publicised.
All seems vague, think it is just a voluntary arrangement but if they don't put any signs up how on earth is anyone supposed to know 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

So, I assume that none of you bothered to read the LARA volutary closure signs at either end of the Old Coach Road then?
I cannot believe that you could be so irresponsible to further damage this road. Your actions will bring the probability of a full time TRO on the Old Coach Road so much closer and then we will ALL lose the use of it. To make it even worse you have posted pictures of yourselves playing the way you have on a publicaly viewable forum so that any passing Bobbly can see the photos and use them for even more ammunition against all of us who enjoy green laning and then all the lanes will go the way of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and be closed to us.
You all should be ashamed of your actions on a road that has a voluntary restraint on it!
I can say with 100% conviction that there were no signs on either end of the road. Having driven both ends right up to either side of the hole. I know there were no signs to read.
So as you were not there, I will accept your apology in advance."To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

There is no way I will apologise over this stupid act of yours. The notices were being put in place by LARA, maybe some idiot has simply removed them to entrap 4x4 drivers as more evidence of road missuse. Even a quick read around most of the Landrover forums will reveal many posts discussing the voluntary closure and the plans to repair the road using a volunteer labour. Maybe you should do your homework a little better before you attempt any more of these wrecking exercises!
Its the sort of arrogance that underlies your posting that produces these "these rules don't apply to me" sorts of attitudes. Personally I think you all should apologise to the rest of the 4x4 community for the damage you have done!

There are no signs Greenlaner. Go and look for yourself. There is nothing on GLASS. I agree it needs voluntary restraint. We put one vehicle in the hole, then everyone backed out. I repeat there are NO signs. Go and put some up before a vehicle gets damaged.

LARA have put up signs, there is also now a post by the GLASS rep for the area on Wayfinder asking for restraint in using the lane. As I said previously, this has been discussed extensively on most of the big Landrover and 4x4 forums so it should have been ready knowledge to everyone if they had done just a little homework.
What amazes me is that you are not even repentant about the damage done which may be the final straw to closing the lane with a TRO
By the way, we live near to the lane so I know the situation there very well
So Greenlaner you have never don any thing wrong it is not arrogance if the signs where there we would not have gone on the lainHome of RLD Hidden winch mounts Spare wheel Locks Trailer Body Fabrication ray@rld-tech.co.uk D3/4 sump plates MY 14 sump plates and the Discovery Sport wheel protectors Discovery 5 wheel locks

Mr Laner...can you define what damage has been done by this group ?
I have to say that I have looked on the LARA site and can't find any thing. Surely such orders should be clearly posted on there rather than assuming that people will read through thousands of posts on other forums.
It may be true that the guys may have made an honest mistake if the lane is under the voluntary order...and if you read the posts you will see that they have acknowledged that.
I think it's a bit rich that you have come on here with your high and mighty attitude ...which quite frankly sucks. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Green Laner FFS, I was involved in the discussion on MCUK and am simply interested to know the exact status of the lane in question. Don't register here to hurl insults at people who enjoy the same pastime as you. Put it in perspective, there were no signs so the lane was legitimately driven.
