Hi, new to this group so apologies if I am doing anything wrong, I have a 2006 discovery 3 2.7 tdv6 120,000 miles automatic and I have a issue with my gearbox under hard acceleration my box goes into F mode and gives p0730 and p0735 codes it goes through all other gears smoothly with no issues, now the thing that is baffling me is if I drive really steady it has no issues and goes through the gears fine also I have no judder no fluctuations on revs which I see is the common issues, had a mega flush done in Feb but the problem persists, I just cannot afford to chuck thousands at it when it could he a cheaper fix. Any advice would be appreciated thanks

I think the box has had it, it sounds like you may have a cracked drum on one of the clutches. Andrew

P0730 is a generic code which can be a number of things, P0735 is the 5th gear solenoid.
You might be lucky and get away with a valve body rebuild and new solenoids.

G'day Tyrone.dc,
Did you end up sorting this issue out?
My D3 is doing the exact same and am getting the PO735 fault code. The transmission was only rebuilt about 50k ago so am hoping its nothing major.
Thanks

With a rebuilt box it shouldnt be happening, take it back to the shop that did the rebuild.
I rebuilt my valve body with new solenoids and a sonnax zip kit and it shifts like new now, did it April last year.
