Brake bleeding kit
Hi peeps. Can anyone recommend a pressure bleed kit, or what do you use.

Easy Bleed!- uses pressure from the spare tyre.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

If you have an IIDtool you can use its assisted brake bleed procedure. You don’t necessarily need a specialized tool… besides the IID

just seen them, the pressure chamber ones look good as well had a d1 ,d2 a land mark d4 for 3 days now have awsome d4 in orkney grey hse sdv6 my12

hi. i have the gap tool. not used it yet. a lot say its a ball ache as you still need 2 peoplehad a d1 ,d2 a land mark d4 for 3 days now have awsome d4 in orkney grey hse sdv6 my12

I work on Motorcycles mainly, but it's also been great on my D3/4 and other cars.
The amount of control this system gives is much better than putting everything under pressure.
It's also great to test other things adding a measured amount of Pressure or Vacuum.
My big tip for using a Vacuum system is to whip the blead nipple out and put a couple of turns of plummer's PTFE tape around the thread before replacing it.
Otherwise you run the risk of drawing air down the threads as well once it's cracked open.
The tape can stay there once your are done.Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.

I used to have the Gunson Easi Bleed but now have a Vac bleed kit from the bay which works well if the bleed nipple threads are sealed as Nasher advises. This one is a bit cheaper https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/23556701879201 Discovery2 V8 LPG - Drowned

I used a cheapo vacuum pump from Harbor Freight, worked really well on the Rescue Rover.
I didn't know that the gap had a bleeder function until after I did the brakes, oh well.

Cheap tools make my skin crawl.
Good quality tools last a long time, won't let you down when you need them, and are less likely to injure you when they break.

The threads on the bleed nipples tend to be sloppy when the nipple is undone and fluid can get past them. Another plus is that it prevents the threads from rusting and being difficult to undo in future The PTFE does not react to the brake fluid.Relocated to Mid France from N. Wales March 2021

Rather than faff about with connecting to a tyre valve, I have a length of tube with an adjustable Pressure reducing valve set at 20psi that has a quick release fitting and I connect it to my garage compressor.Relocated to Mid France from N. Wales March 2021

Also found these good in keeping the bleed nipples clean from dirt etc
