New to gap. First time use tonight.should I update ?

Hi guys. Plugged in tonight to check it worked. Think it did.
Lots of updates available, should I update.

each of them is 25 quid to flash

if it works I would leave it alone and before flashing make sure you have some tool to support vehicle electrics for flash duration as I would not flash on battery alone !

Let us know how you get on. I've tried a couple of times on some of the updates. It seems to go through the whole process, but when you check again it is still telling you that the same updates are available, so it doesn't seem to be saving them properly to the car.
 Previously:
2010 FL2 TD4e GS
‘93 Defender 110 200TDi CSW - still got this, non-runner on SORN.
‘87 Defender 90 4 cyl Petrol
‘83 110 CSW V8 - best ever!
Range Rover 2-door V8 (not sure of year - 4-speed box and vacuum diff switch)
Series III SWB Diesel

Thanks. It's been a while since I last tried, so will give it a go again next time I have the GAP Tool plugged in.

The general advice with these is "if it ain't broke don't fix it".

You risk more by trying an update (bricking the module, leaving you with a potentially undriveable vehicle) than any benefit you might think you're getting.

If you have a specific problem with a module and a software update is a known fix, that's different.
