LR part number for replacement RH heated mirror glass (2016) |
|
Some in a van hit my off-side mirror when I had parked in a narrow lane to let him through!
He didn't stop, and there was no point in trying to chase him, as it was 08:30 and heavy traffic.
I need a new glass for my March 2016 D4, and thought that the part number was LR013774, but I'm told that is only for 2010 - 2014 D4s.
Can anyone please assist with the right part number & a reasonable place to buy it?
Thanks in advance

Sorry to hear that.
Anyway, I think it is either the first or the last one that you want. The middle is for North America (haven’t seen these in Europe) as it has text. All are for EA000001 and later.
LR045152, convex, basic mirror I think
LR051352, convex, lane change aid, with auto dimming, with the objects are closer than… text
LR051354, convex, lane change aid, without dimming
I would recommend that you have the shop or stockist double check. Can’t help you beyond lrdirect having LR045152 (45 GBP) as a Britpart replacement part besides the Land Rover labeled part (95 GBP).

I've just bought and fitted a substitute mirror glass (heated) via an Ebay seller, happy to dig out details if you'd like ? Original was not broken, I just wanted the feature with a vertical line, and tighter curvature beyond towards the R.H. extreme view for blind spot visibility.

kajtzu - Many thanks. I'll certainly have the shop or stockist double check.
KPTV8 - Thank-you; if you could dig out the eBay seller's details that would be most helpful.

Hi
Here's the part I bought - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142521007287
No problems thus far - glass SEEMS a little thin but it fitted OK, no sign of cracking.
TBH the extra blind spot visibility at the R.H. extremity isn't that brilliant, less useful than I wished.
I've always been bit confused around the working of the heated mirrors circuit in my D4 - with the older D3s it was simply ON or OFF controlled by switches, but with the D4 you can't easily tell if heating is working, seems the switching is automatic and depends on temperature.
Well that's fine for clearing ICE I guess, but I like to use heated mirror glass sometimes to clear condensation and water droplets, so automated switching is maybe not ideal.
Perhaps there's an over-ride in the CCF ...........
Cheers
