DPF full - forced regeneration
Hi,
I had a case of DPF full error on TDV6.
It was permanent, limp mode.
I tried to run forced regeneration using Icarsoft LR II but I did not get past "please wait" which changed to "failed" if I slowed down. As the cat was in limp mode, it was not possible to not slow down (no highway driving in limp mode).
I got the DPF cleaned and car now drives nicely but when I attempted forced regeneration just to make sure that everything works as it should I still do not get past "please wait" and the process fails if I slow down.
How is the forced regeneration working? Should it write something or is the "please wait" all one can see if it is running?
I want to make sure that regeneration is started and I do not end up with full DPF again.

Hi Marian,
i suppose that via your icarsoft scanner you are able to see the DPF parameters in the "live data" section.
You should find:
- the % of soot in the DPF
- the mileage since last full and partial regeneration
- the range between 2 regeneration
- the differential pressure inside DPF
- EGRs postition
In order to check when the regen is in progress you have to monitor the catalyst downstream temp over 450°C , more than 550° C of EGT and both EGRs closed (5%)

And these are normal parameters on highway at around 120 km/h
