I would also be interested in this. I have a XS without cameras and I looked under the plastic panel where the headling reaches the rear tailgate to see if the wiring was there. There did appear to be two unused plugs on the loom but I don't know whether these were for something else. They only appeared to have two pins each though. Question

Hi dave, no it's not there I'm afraid, I got a wireless camera though from ebay, tapped it into the reversing light feed, then plugged into the reversing input on the back of the sat nav using a "Facra?" Cable from the disco shop. Run the sat nav in range rover mode and have it enabled as bodsy kindly did for me this morning,

Gary

It is different on a D4 Yawn

Don't get the Facra? cable for a start, but to date I've not heard of any that have had the wiring installed by accident.

Hello Guys,

Thought I would post my recent findings having just installed OEM reversing camera to my oct 2012 D4 Commercial.

My car is factory fitted with TV.

The power and coax/fakra connectors are present in the main vehicle body loom. They are visible behind the trim which houses the rear roof courtesy light (just pulls off).

To make the system work I needed to replace the tailgate loom for one which incudes the camera wiring - approx £70.00 from TLO.

Also you need to buy the OEM camera - approx £100 from TLO.
You will also need to buy a new tailgate microswitch - approx £55.00 from TLO, the camera gets its power and transmits its signal via the loom which comes as part of this assembly.

Having changed these parts and made all the connections you will now have power correctly connected and the coax video signal is routed to a black fakra connector sitting below and just to the left of the gear selector.
You can buy a new small loom which runs from there up to the back of the screen, however I chose just to use a short SMB RG74 coax which I had spare .

Once all was assembled I enabled the reversing camera with my Faultmate.

Great addition - works perfectly every time.

Hope this helps Thumbs Up

Yes the cables are there on a D4 done a couple of rear camera fits and the cables where stowed away one was 2011MY and the other a 2012MY LM.

Flack Thumbs Up

If its there it will be under the roof panel at the passenger side stowed away, you need to remove the upper panel with the boot light in it..

So does the vehicle need a TV fitted for this to work?
My commercial hasnt a tv but does have the premium hard disk nav system?
Just wondering what sort of cost a retro fit would be Shocked , if possible?

You don't need a TV to get the camera working

I thought I would post a picture of the wiring under my D4 XS rera panel. I am assuming the unused black and brown connector relate to rear reversing camera but perhaps someone could confirm. 8)
PS First time posting an image - hope it works Embarassed
