Hi folks,
My misfiring still has not come back which is great news. This week driving to and from work only 20 miles each way i felt like there was either hesitation or road vibration so decided to finally get on and change auto box oil and metal gearbox sumps as i've had it for a good while to rule out gearbox vibes.
It's a horrible job on the driveway and in all the guidance i've seen nobody mentioned replacing the mechatronic sleeve so unfortunatly didn't pull that tab down while the sump was off. Although it came with the AF kit .
Took it out for a test drive and gear changes are very smooth, but then i noticed the revs after 2.5k going up like a ticking second hand on a clock, about 2-300 revs each time! It done that fairly smoothly and consistantly but something is definatly is not right.
Anybody recognise this after an auto box oil change?
I'm still wondering to change the FRPS on fuel rail but waiting for any other symptoms before taking the plunge on genuine part.
Any help appreciated thanks

Torque Coverter knackered |
|
After my gearbox sump pan change, drove to manchester this weekend and home around 200 miles all in.
Heavy vibration cruising and a judder which I suppose is looking like torque converter. When its not doing it seems like gear box is nice and smooth.
I'm in Lincoln, if anybody can recommend a good place for TC and work please chime in.
I'll primarily aim to do work myself unless I get a great deal of course
Cheers

Consider adding Dr tranny.
Some say the judder can cause crank snaps

I'm thinking I'll get on with the work rather than driving it. I think as it'll be on driveway i better get it done sooner rather than later. Going to try and get some quotes this week.
Is there any detrimental effect using dr tranny? ie g/box ot transfer box suffers?

No. Just don't get it on your hands.
