Tayna- Exide EK151 out of stock!

Where is the next best place to obtain a stop/start auxiliary battery? - Tayna are even out of Enduraline equivalent which is nearly £100 Big Cry
What are the consequences of doing a 300 mile trip with a completely flat auxiliary battery?- can it discharge the main battery?
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Does it not just disable the stop/start feature (a positive outcome IMHO)?

I bought my genuine Exide EK151 on eBay back in 2018.
Just checked.seems there’s plenty on there for around the £55 mark. Not the same seller I used.

Yes it does disable the SS but is the alternator trying to charge a duff battery and little or nothing is going into the main battery? - that's what I want to know?

Ordered “new” battery from eblag delivered yesterday but it is date stamped October 2023 Shocked, so when is a “new” not a new battery as it’s been sat on a shelf for 11 months? - is this likely to shorten its life?- do I send it back for a new new one?

I suspect that it may be unusable. If you measure the voltage it may be low. Below 10.7 the battery will start to sulphate and may not be chargeable or able to be recovered. Batteries are supplied charged by the manufacturer and usually not maintained by the seller.
Personally I would send it back if the voltage is low.
I had a similar problem with a battery bought through eBay from a seller in Glasgow. Battery wouldn't accept a charge and returned as defective at sellers expense.
Don't forget to refit the transit plugs before packing.
