LR TIME has a vid on line boring the block, you need good measuring instruments, like internal micrometres
this is not a job for the untrained, good luck
oh BTW you'll need to replace oil collers as there is no way to flush swarf
I did my apprenticeship at Cummins and rebuilt from 555 cu inch to 1150 cu inch, principles are the same

thanks mate i just changed the engine. i have looked at my old engine and the main bearings still look ok they didn't spin in the block i have a bore gauge to check tolerance when i drained the oil i strained it through a filter to check for metal couldn't see any so hopefully its repairable Wink

afternoon every one I'm in need of some help my engine is in and running only problem is I cant seem to stop the brake vacuum pump from leaking oil I used 4 gaskets now because they are crush gasket I have even brought a brand new vac pump at £350 and still wont seal it seems to leak more now I haven even driven the car yet because it leaks so much I don't get why they changed the gasket the old 2.7 pump is a rubber gasket so if anyone knows how to seal it it would be very appreciated
