Water in headliner passenger side

Hello! Today i was washing my Lr3 and when i open the passenger door i see water in my passenger footwell and the headliner in passenger side was wet, i checked the water drain plugs and they look compl normal, btw i cleaned the drain plugs also.

If the A pillar interior trim is wet at the top as well as the headliner, then it's likely the factory seam sealant in the water drain channel beneath the roof rail trim has failed. Common problem area as these cars are ageing now.

The solution is to carefully pop out the round plastic plug holding the black aluminium trim on the forward end of the roof. Once that's out clean away any dirt and loose sealant, and apply a very small amount of seam sealer to the failed/exposed area where the roof and side panel meet inside the channel!!

Once that's cured you can mask and respray if you want the correct factory finish, then refit the trim and the retaining plastic trim plug and you're done. Thumbs Up
