Rear brake pipe burst
Hi guys. Rear left brake pipe just above the rear wheel the pipe had burst. Took it to my local garage for them to do it and they said they are having a mare. Had to remove the exhaust system to get at it.
Does this make sense, I take it all the pipes must of been rotten or they didn't want to take any chances. They are good friends of mine.
Is it that bad a job.

It's easier with the exhaust off. Not difficult to replace the rear brake pipes with the right kit.Richard

They probably found extensive corrosion on those pipes going forwards to approx where the centre silencer is, if it’s anything like mine was. Best that they cut out and replace the whole of the rear corroded sections now, or it’ll need doing again in a couple of years.D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump.
